Dear Sheetal ma'am,

I cannot even tell u how amazing of a teacher u r. Maybe I loved English as a language from the very beginning. But I didn't have u back then. U not only taught me English but u taught me important values and life lessons. I look forward to ever English session and hearing ur reassuring and confident voice. Those debate session, those amazing worksheets, those selectively hand picked videos and what not. English wasn't a subject anymore. It became my hobby after I joined ur class. U never scolded me even though I made so many blunders. U assured my mum when I got less marks. U gave her confidence that I will do well. Never have I ever had a  teacher like u. Like the saying goes, after a million strict and rude teachers a teacher like u was born. I wish I would have joined u earlier. English was so much fun with u. I am so sad that after 10 I won't have classes with u anymore. My short lived journey with u will end. But I had an amazing journey and even better memories. U will have had many students like me. We come and we go. But in my life a teacher like u just came once. So I will never forget u. On this note I would like to end this letter cuz I know I'm getting a little overdramatic and emotional and filmy. Wishing and praying to God for ur long life and on going English classes and the amazing cooking that u do.

Having you as my mentor, not only made me love the language but also helped me grow as person. Everytime I'm asked to name one person who made a difference in my school life, the answer is always you. For a person who never liked reading books or writing in any form, to be an editor for her department's magazine is a huge deal and I think the credit goes to you. Just the fact that I can approach you and talk to you even after so many years, speaks volumes. Always glad and thankful that I had the opportunity to have you as my mentor.  

It has helped me a lot. I mean seriously you are a best friend to me more than teacher...the way you convey us little things, teach us in a unique way is just amazing. I have not only learnt english...but all the values, ethics and much more!!!
